YEC Janus Enginespec
An enginespec for the Yorkshire Engine Company 'Janus' series of 0-6-0 Diesel Electric locomotive, of which 102 were constructed between 1956 and 1965. The locomotives were mainly employed by industrial customers in steelworks and quarries. Corus/Tata still use a fleet of these locomotives at their Scunthorpe Steelworks site. The locos used two Rolls-Royce C6SFL engines of between 190hp and 233hp each. Max Speed 23 mph. Tractive Effort 30,000-32,000 lbf, Weight 48 tonnes.
For best performance in CAB mode use with rolling stock fitted with my coach and wagon enginespecs.
