WHRC 44 Tonner

This is a GE 44-tonner Switcher. Built in 1944 for use in industry and shortline switching applications.
Modeled for use in Trainz by Mark Hoffman. Reskinned by GN1996. Updated to 2009 Specs by jregner1955.

Great Northern had 2 GE 44 ton switchers in which arrived1940. They were originally numbered 5200 and 5201, but were renumbered in 1943 to 50 and 51, respectively. GN found the 44 tonners limited in capability and sold #50 in 1951 and #51 in 1948. In their services, number 50 worked the industries north of GN's Minneapolis depot and the other worked on somewhere in 'Lines West.
