CCTR Sample Session 1

This sample session is intended to familiarize you with the western end of the Corpus Christi Terminal Railroad. It's an early morning in June, and your job is to haul a transfer job to the Union Pacific's Viola Yard, pick up a string of loaded coal hoppers there and set them out at Bulk Transfer Dock 2, then pick up a string of empty hoppers and set them out at the CCTR Yard. Grab a travel mug of coffee, climb into your GP38-2, and:

1. Proceed to trackmark CCTR Yard W4 at the south end of the yard.

2. Couple to Consist 19 (the covered hoppers, open hoppers, and tank cars).

3. Cross the Tule Lake Lift Bridge and use the west leg of the Bridge Wye to roll onto UP tracks and proceed to UP's Viola Yard, trackmark Viola W1.

4. Uncouple from Consist 19 and couple to Consist 15 (the loaded coal hoppers).

5. Exit Viola Yard to the west and proceed to the West Wye.

6. Use the east leg of the wye to go around the end of the harbor and proceed eastward to the Bulk Terminal Wye.

7. Use the west leg of the Bulk Terminal Wye and proceed to trackmark Bulk Terminal Dock 2SE.

8. Uncouple from Consist 15 and couple to Consist 21 (the empty hoppers).

9. Proceed eastward through the Bulk Terminal and then through the CCTR Yard, past the CCTR Yard Office.

10. Back the consist to trackmark CCTR Yard C4.

11. Uncouple from Consist 21 and return your engines to trackmark CCTR Scale Track NW.

If you operate efficiently and travel at realistic speeds, this session should take about 80 minutes to complete.
